Bagger 288 Mega Industrial Design Machine by Krupp

If you are fans of Transformers then be amazed by this incredible piece of machinery. It is way (much) bigger than Optimus Prime and for those who are not familiar, Optimus Prime happens the be the leader of (Megabots)

Bagger 288, made by Krupp in Germany takes 5 years to build.Manufactured at a whopping (huge) cost of USD 100,000,000. It would take 5 workmen to operate this behemoth. Bagger 288 gives new meaning to "Mega" machines.

Culture Based Store Display at Harvey Nichols, Jakarta Indonesia

It offers many of the world's most prestigious brands in womenswear, menswear, accessories, beauty, food and home. Harvel Nichols is now open one of it branch in Jakarta, Indonesia.  Here is project for store display based on Indonesia culture.

In men’s denim, a backlit, perforated metal ceiling contrasts with runway tables covered in Indonesian tile.

Parang-shaped fixtures in women’s shoes sculpturally interpret the local batik pattern.

Harvey Nichols Jakarta is punctuated with sculptural spaces.

An Indonesian Bajai taxi adds a sense of quirkiness to Harvey Nichols Jakarta.

Hand-painted concrete flooring gives the men’s area the feel of an artist’s studio.

The fragrance department blends modern design with the vibrant hues of local culture.

Store display based from culture it doesnt mean you have to interpretation it with tradional things. Sometime display merchandise it didnt match with the store concept. If your store is tradional concept then maybe you can put some of tradional things into your display merchandise. But if your store concept is modern and luxury lifestyle concept like Harvey Nichols then you must find some fresh idea to interpretation it. Just like in the picture, smart way to melds the modern and trational is by:

a. Take detail form from culture ikon, from Indonesia famous ikon are batik, bajaj, sculpture, etc.

b. Interpretation it in interior decoration such as floor detail, ceiling, carpet.

c. Dont forget the detail for Visual merchandise item.

Company Party Poster

When my company I work in have a company party, as employee in graphic design departmen. Iam incharge for the assigment. So, this is the poster look like...the important is the information inside the poster and the design are related to the party theme.

Party theme logo design

When Iam still working one of foreign company in Bali, they have 17th company birthday party. Because its 17th birthday, they plan to have glamour party. So they made party theme logo design competition just for the event. So I enter the competition with one of my logo design.

This is my design for the competition, the logo will used for tshirt, event ticket and other merchandise. Well, guest what? Iam the WINNER for the competition. Iam so happy and honor, cant wait to made new design again...and again..and again.

This is some tips if you want to made logo based on specific event:
1.The party host is it company, private or public.
2.Consider the theme of the party, example: glamor, funky, black n white, etc.
3.Brain storming for the logo idea.
4.Find color that match with your party theme.

As soon you gather all the material then made some idea sketch for the logo, just keep drawing. Sometime final design come at last skethces. after you find the final design and confident about it you can made it in your computer. If you good in adobe photoshop and illustrator or other similar program, you can try to make it more proper and later more easy to aply in many merchandise. Another way is you made sketches then scan the final logo design to your computer then made it as image file.

Cartoon in Bali

This is my caricature drawing by local artist in Bali name Jango Paramartha. Jango is Business Director Bog Bog cartoon magazine Bali. He was studied at University of Western Australia in 1993. After studied he came back to Bali to develop cartoon. Before he go to studied in australia he already like to draw cartoon. One of his experience is he become cartoon contributor for local news paper in year 1991 at Bali Post, then in 2004 he also contribute for Jakarta Post.
